Discover & Experiment

For young children, picking items up and putting them in place helps them learn the important skill of intentional grasp and release, as well as how to control and position their fingers. The pieces are thick and chunky, specially designed for little hands and suitable for an easy grip. This is especially important for successful early building experiences and the development of fine motor skills. Stacking also works on depth perception, hand-eye coordination, and understanding where your body is in space. As you put each piece on top of the other, you have to visually gauge where to place each piece both in relation to yourself, and in relation to the other pieces.

EXPERT OPINION

Themed toys are great educational toys to introduce between the ages of 12-18 months because they will help develop your child’s recognition skills. This toy involves chickens, you can practice what sound the chicken makes. This will also help with language development by reinforcing the names of colors and shapes. This toy is fun to play with but it can also be used as an introduction to talking about the chicken-egg-chick cycle of life or domestic animals as chickens consider to be one of the most common and widespread domestic animals.
